Governor Cuomo cited Legoland in his address.

ALBANY – The governor’s state of the state address, Wednesday, called for tax cuts, legalizing marijuana, expanding free college tuition and increasing and modernizing emergency response capacity.

While talking about economic development initiatives across the state, Andrew Cuomo singled out one in the Mid-Hudson Valley. “Legoland coming to the Hudson Valley – 1,300 jobs. I love Legoland; yes kids. That is your next vacation. We’re going to Legoland,” he said.

The governor also addressed the spate of hate crimes around the state, singling out the recent Monsey incident in which a machete-armed man attacked a Jewish Hanukkah gathering at a rabbi’s house, wounding five people. The governor said New York has no tolerance for racism or discrimination. “When you try to divide the Great State of New York, we will stand up tall, we stand up unified; we will stand up and we will fight and we will win because we are right and that is the New York way,” he said.

Among the governor’s other proposals are to ban sex offenders from riding on MTA mass transit, growing the green economy, and continuing to invest in affordable housing.
