Small train fire disrupts service

NEW HAMBURG – A small fire under an Amtrak train at the New Hamburg train station around 8:30 Monday night disrupted service on the Hudson Line for about two hours.

There was a report of one person evaluated for smoke inhalation.

The Hudson Line, which carries Amtrak and Metro-North passenger trains, had delays while the disabled train issue was addressed.

The cause of the small fire was not immediately known.
