NYACK – The Village of Nyack is seeking stewards to maintain the village’s young, public street trees. Free training, funded by the NYS DEC Urban and Community Forest grant, is being held on two days in January. A certified arborist will teach attendees how to prune and care for the village trees.
The training is taking place on Thursday, January 16 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday, January 18 from 9:30 am to noon. Details and registration can be obtained by visiting Village Hall or sending an email to NyackTreeProject@gmail.com.
