GOSHEN – Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster is pleased to mark the start of the New Year with the announcement of its 2020 Caritas Award honorees. The awards will be presented at the 14th annual Catholic Charities Celebration of Charity dinner on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor.

Receiving the 2020 Caritas Awards will be The Bruderhof, Ellenville Regional Hospital, Drake Loeb, PLLC law firm, and Thomas Kelly, retired Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Ulster County.

“Strong community partners who support Catholic Charities’ mission to provide help and create hope make it possible for our agency to lend a hand up to thousands in need each year,” said Dr. Dean Scher, CEO, Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster. “Presenting the Caritas Award to those who share in our commitment to helping our neighbors in need is one way for us to say ‘thank you’ for making a difference in the lives of others.”

The Caritas Awards are presented by Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster each year to organizations and individuals who exemplify the agency’s mission to provide help and create hope.

“We are grateful for the spirit of collaboration and abundant generosity put forth by the 2020 Caritas honorees,” said Dr. Scher. “We look forward to celebrating their dedication to the communities in which they live and work at the Celebration of Charity dinner this spring. Congratulations to all!”
