EAST FISHKILL – In a move to maintain a balance in the growth in the Town of East Fishkill, Supervisor Nicholas D’Alessandro will present his “Live, Work, Play East Fishkill” initiative in the months ahead.
D’Alessandro said there is a sizeable amount of interest in new business and residential development, but town officials want it to be a well-balanced approach.
“We want to make sure that we are going to grow smartly. We are going to grow the way the town people want us to because we do need businesses to come here to offset the tax base and we do want our people that are currently here for many years to be happy. So, we have to have a good divide of live, work and play,” he said.
D’Alessandro said the town is currently reviewing a number of business development proposals, but officials want them to fit in with a smart growth plan.
