FISHKILL – Self-proclaimed Fishkill town government watchdog Ozzy Albra was sworn in as town supervisor on New Year’s Day.
Albra, a Democrat, defeated Republican Robert LaColla in November.
A retired police officer, Albra plans to immediately work on the priorities set forth in his campaign; including pushing for term limits for the town board, protecting the town water supply and promoting Fishkill’s role in the American Revolutionary War.
“Fishkill is a great place and its future has never been brighter,” he told a swearing-in ceremony,” noting he looks forward to “working together with the council and residents to lead the town forward.”
