“I wanted to continue my public service in a different capacity for the people of Sullivan County,” Farrell said.  “And I believe my expertise and experience in criminal law will serve me well to make sure the folks who come before me are treated fairly and justly.”

Family, friends, law enforcement and other state and county judicial officials attended the swearing in ceremony for Farrell, who will serve a 10-year term on the bench in Sullivan County.”

“I think what I have been doing as DA is really going to help me with my transition to becoming the county court judge,” said Farrell. “What we do as judges and district attorneys is that we look at case, and we try to determine what the just or what fair result should be.”
