SOMERS – State Police arrested a 61-year-old Somers man on Wednesday following an investigation into a drunk driving incident involving a school bus transporting children.
William Mendez was found to be driving a school bus on December 9 from the Somers Intermediate School with students aboard when he was stopped in the Town of Somers.
Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol with a BAC of .22 percent.
Mendez was charged with aggravated DWI as a felony – Leandra’s Law, and DWI.
