PLEASANT VALLEY — In a move to better serve its loyal customer base, Roticceria Rossi & Sons, more commonly known as Rossi’s will open an additional brick-and-mortar deli at Eastdale Village, the region’s first pre-planned community of its kind. The Eastdale Village location, slated to open in Fall 2020, will be Rossi’s second deli, with the flagship remaining on South Clover Street in Poughkeepsie.
“Opening a second location was simply the right next step for the business, which continues to grow year after year,” said Roberto Rossi. “We’re thrilled to open an additional brick and mortar deli from the ground up and doing so at Eastdale Village is a perfect collaboration. They have guided us through the entire process from identifying a location and the necessary space size to gathering all needed entitlement approvals.”
Rossi’s flagship originally opened in 1979 as an Italian grocery store by Poughkeepsie-residents Giovanni and Angelina Rossi along with Ms. Rossi’s brother Victor Trocino, who immigrated to the region from Italy. Today, it is run by the Rossi’s three sons, Fabio, Mauro, and Roberto, and has grown into a well-known deli and catering company. The new location will allow Rossi’s to serve a greater audience while maintaining the same level of service and hospitality customers have grown to love over the last four decades.

Eastdale Village, a new town center, will have approximately 390 luxury rental residential units, with a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units along with 120,000 plus square feet of commercial, retail, service, medical, financial, institutional and office uses. Eastdale Village will include a walkable town center with public open green spaces, a new Town Park with a rich mix of dining establishments and retail options that will position the community as a culinary and entertainment destination.
