POUGHKEEPSIE – City Police in Poughkeepsie have released the identity of the man shot and killed in a vehicle on Thursday afternoon as Jeffrey Johnson, 29, of Poughkeepsie.
An autopsy revealed the cause of death to be a single gunshot wound to his left thigh.

Police had been called initially on Thursday afternoon to a report of a possible rollover auto accident in the area of 70 Livingston Street. When officers responded to the scene, they found Johnson had been shot.
