WHITE PLAINS – A Westchester County grand jury has indicted an Elmsford man for hitting and killing a pedestrian with his car in front of the County Center in August.

Glen Robinson, 26, was charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter, two counts of criminally negligent homicide and two counts of driving while intoxicated.

Just after 6:30 in the morning on August 24, 2019, prosecutors alleged Robinson was driving while intoxicated in White Plains. At the intersection of Tarrytown Road and Central Avenue, he drove his Chevrolet Cruze into a pedestrian crossing the roadway by the Westchester County Center, struck the victim, and then drove into the brick structure housing the clock tower, completely damaging the structure and the clock.

The victim, Susan Benjamin-Bailey, of the Bronx, was on her way to work. She was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries.
