Suspect captured after he escapes from Rockland County Courthouse

NEW CITY – A suspect who escaped from the Rockland County Courthouse at about 4 p.m. on Monday was caught later.

Christopher Palumbo, 33, fled on foot in an unknown direction, but he was tracked down by Clarkstown Police.

He was taken into custody and additional charges may be filed. It was not immediately know why Palumbo was in county court in the first place.
