Woman charged with stabbing man in Town of Ulster

TOWN OF ULSTER – A 39-year-old Saugerties man suffered several stab wounds when attacked at a residence on Ulster Avenue in the Town of Ulster around 9:40 Saturday morning.

The alleged assailant, Kimberly Roberts, 39, of Ulster Avenue in Lake Katrine, was located at her home a short time later and arrested without incident. She was charged with felony armed assault and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon.

She was remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.

The victim left the residence and walked to nearby Bread Alone where he was treated by Good Samaritans until Town of Ulster Police arrived.

He was transported by Mobile Life Support Services ambulance to Health Alliance Broadway Campus in Kingston for initial treatment and later transferred to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie for further care.

Ulster Police were assisted by the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, Ulster Sheriff’s Office, State Police, Saugerties Police, State Environmental Conservation Police, Ulster Hose Fire and Mobile Life.
