CAMPBELL HALL – The first winter storm of the season has claimed its first victim.
A male operator of a snowmobile, identified as David White, 34, of Campbell Hall, was killed at mid-morning Monday when his vehicle struck a tree on Quarry Road in Campbell Hall, said State Police spokesman Trooper Steven Nevel.
White was ejected from the sled upon impact with the tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
