TOWN OF WALLKILL – A Middletown city man is in the Orange County Jail in lieu of $80,000 cash bail or $240,000 bond following his arrest for allegedly holding up the Wendy’s restaurant at 441 Route 211 East in the Town of Wallkill on October 26.

It is alleged that at about 4:30 that morning, Daniel Webster, 44, of Middletown, entered the fast-food eatery through a rear door, pulled what appeared to be a silver handgun and demanded the manager to open the safe. The robber made off with an unknown amount of cash and fled from the back door.

An investigation led by Detective Robert Reid led to Webster’s arrest on Wednesday, November 13 when he was charged with armed robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property.
