GOSHEN – Timothy Cardinal Dolan held mass for inmates at the Orange County Jail on Monday.
The mass reflected upon Saint Dismas and the importance of the Gospel to those currently incarcerated. At the end of the mass attended by 50 inmates, Cardinal Dolan met with each, enjoyed a brief conversation and then offered individual blessings in their preferred language.
“It’s an honor and privilege to welcome Cardinal Dolan to our facility to our facility to give blessings to my staff and those who will be spending Thanksgiving in our facility,” Sheriff Carl DuBois.
The cardinal met with the sheriff and his staff.
Him eminence was accompanied by several clergy from New York City and Orange County.
