PORT JERVIS – As part of the rebirth of Port Jervis, the city has installed a new ‘welcome’ sign that greets visitors.

Mayor Kelly Decker said the materials all come from the area and the sign was assembled by city DPW workers.

Not only was this made in the USA, it was built in Port Jervis, New York,” he proclaimed.

Local stone and a piece of metal from an old train highlight the sign with lettering that can change color depending upon a holiday or season.
