Former teacher charged with several counts of raping teenager

WHITE PLAINS – A 34-year-old White Plains man was arraigned in Westchester County Court on new charges related to having sexual relations with a child.

District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. said John Fraioli was charged with five counts each of rape and criminal sexual act, all as felonies.

Prosecutors alleged that he had sexual relations with a teenage victim in his While Plains home on five occasions during the period of June through October 2019.

He was charged in New Rochelle for sexual activity with the same child victim while working as a teacher in New Rochelle High School. He allegedly engaged in the sexual conduct with the victim in the school building during school hours last spring.

The investigation continued and led to the further charges.
