Over $1 million earmarked of Westchester Head Start

WASHINGTON – Over $1.2 million in federal funding has been allocated through the Department of Health and Human Services Head Start Program at Family Services of Westchester.

The money will be used to provide childcare and support services for low-income families in Westchester County.

The program emphasizes cognitive and language development, social and emotional development, physical and mental health, and parent involvement.

The grant was announced by Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand.
