POUGHKEEPSIE – A 20-year-old Poughkeepsie man was arrested on Thursday on a charge of rape for allegedly having sex with a person under the age of 15.
Lonnie Pesano was arrested following an investigation by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and the Child Advocacy Center.
Pesano was charged with one count of felony rape in the second degree. He was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
Police said there appears to be no threat to public safety.
