Saugerties man arrested twice on criminal mischief charges

SAUGERTIES – A 39-year-old Saugerties man has been charged twice within hours with the crimes of felony criminal mischief in connection with two separate incidents, both at a Fortune Valley Lane, Town of Saugerties address.

At 11:40 p.m. on November 6, Saugerties Police responded to a report of a man out of control, breaking items inside the residence.

Robert Guarino was arrested, charged and released on his own recognizance to appear in court at a later date.

AT 3:44 a.m. on November 7, Guarino was back at the same residence. When police arrived for a report of a man out of control, they found him breaking the windows out of a van parked at the home.

He was charged with a second count of criminal mischief and released again on his own recognizance.
