POUGHKEEPSIE – Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro and County Clerk Brad Kendall were both reelected in Tuesday’s voting. Both men are Republicans.
Molinaro was challenged by Democrat Joseph Ruggiero, the former executive director of the New York State Bridge Authority. He resigned from that post shortly before he announced his candidacy.
The incumbent won by over 1,600 votes.
Kendall was challenged by Democrat Kenya Gadsden, who he defeated by over 6,300 votes.
County GOP Chairman Mike McCormack said the voters have spoken by electing county Republicans.
