MONTGOMERY – Police are investigating a fatal auto accident on Albany Post Road between Route 52 just over the Ulster County line that involved a private vehicle and two Ulster County public works trucks.
The driver of the civilian vehicle was killed, said Ulster County Executive Patrick Ryan, who said three county workers in the trucks were assigned to a tree and brush clearing detail in the area of the crash. They sustained minor injuries and were transported to Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill for treatment.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by State Police and the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.
