HAWTHORNE – A Yonkers woman was arrested by Westchester County Police on Wednesday and charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and manslaughter in connection with a fatal car accident on the Saw Mill River Parkway in July.

Kristen Lynn, 34, of Warburton Avenue is accused of being drunk and driving in excess of 100 mph on the Saw Mill when she rear-ended another vehicle, propelling it off the roadway and into a tree.  Daniella Gore-Johnson, 28, of Yonkers, was killed in the crash.

Lynn surrendered on Wednesday at Westchester County Police headquarters on an indictment charging her with aggravated vehicular homicide, vehicular manslaughter, and manslaughter, all as felonies; reckless driving, a misdemeanor; and speeding, a violation.

Aggravated vehicular manslaughter is charged when a driver is operating recklessly and with a blood alcohol level of .18 percent or higher.

On July 21, Lynn was driving a 2017 Lexus r35 sedan when she slammed into Gore-Johnson’s 2012 Honda Accord at 12:18 a.m. in Hastings-on-Hudson. The two women were the only occupants of their vehicles. Gore-Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. Lynn suffered extensive injuries in the crash and was hospitalized.

Lynn was arraigned in Westchester County Court and released on $20,000 bond.
