Six state inmates charged with possessing contraband

CATSKILL – Six prisoners in state correctional facilities have faced new charges in Greene County Court.

Jayden Knutt was convicted of felony attempted promoting prison contraband for possessing a cutting-type weapon while serving a prison sentenced on another felony at Greene Correctional Facility. He will be sentenced at a later date.

Ian Green was sentenced to 1 ½ to three years of additional time in state prison for felony attempted promoting prison contraband for possessing a cutting-type weapon while serving prison time on another felony at Coxsackie Correctional Facility.

Hassan Ward was convicted of felony attempted promoting prison contraband for possessing a cutting-type weapon while serving time on another felony at Greene Correctional Facility. He will be sentenced at a later date.

Kyle Novotny was sentenced to two years additional time in state prison plus two years of post-release supervision for felony criminal possession of a controlled substance for possessing buprenorphine with the intent to sell it while serving prison time on another felony at Coxsackie Correctional Facility.

Timothy Flythe was sentenced to 1 ½ to three years of additional time in state prison for the felony of attempted promoting prison contraband for possessing a ceramic cutting-type weapon while serving prison time on another felony at Coxsackie Correctional Facility.

Gaulter Garera was convicted of the felony of attempted promoting prison contraband for possession a cutting-type weapon while serving prison time on another felony at Coxsackie Correctional Facility. He will be sentenced at a later date.
