PLATTEKILL – An Augusta, Georgia man was arrested Thursday night on the Thruway in the Town of Plattekill and found in possession of a loaded Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun with a 15-round magazine.
Joseph Glover, 44, was pulled over on the highway around 9 p.m. for a vehicle and traffic violation and was charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol. Further investigation discovered the gun leading to the felony charge of criminal possession of a weapon – a loaded firearm other than in a person’s home. He was also charged with the misdemeanor of unlawful possession of a certain ammunition feeding devices.
He was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail.
