SAUGERTIES – A Saugerties man was arrested just before 6 p.m. on Monday after he allegedly stabbed another man in the abdomen.

Saugerties Police were called to 446 Route 212 in the Town of Saugerties where they found a 36-year-old man stabbed. The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics from Diaz Ambulance and transported to Health Alliance Hospital Broadway Campus for further treatment.

Investigation alleged that the victim and Patrick Green, Jr., 50, both living at the same address, were arguing when the dispute turned physical.

During the altercation, Green allegedly stabbed the victim in the abdomen with a dangerous instrument, causing a non-life-threatening injury to the man.

Green was charged with felony assault and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
