KINGSTON – A home check of an apartment at 110 Partition Street in the Villages of Saugerties on Friday afternoon, October 18, led to the arrests of two people.

While police were entering the residence, James Giuditta, 26, of Saugerties, who is on parole, fled through a window onto the roof and attempted to hide on the roof of an adjacent building. He was taken into custody a short time later.

A second occupant of the residence, Gina Julian, 25, also of Saugerties and who is also on parole, was detained.

Police found both suspects in possession of a stolen, loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun, extra magazines and ammunition, 139 glassine envelopes or decks of fentanyl laced heroin, over 13 pounds of marijuana, packaging material and scales.

They were both charged with felonies of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of marijuana, all as felonies, as well as a misdemeanor of criminally possession drug paraphernalia.

Giuditta and Julian were held in the Ulster County Jail on parole bonds pending further court proceedings.

The case was investigated by the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team, Ulster Sheriff’s Office and State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision’s Office of Special Investigations.
