SCARSDALE – Area residents will soon have a new option for getting fit when F45 Training opens in Scarsdale.

The 2,250-square foot gym, which will be located at 696 Central Park Avenue, is expected to be open in winter, according to F45 Scarsdale’s owner Andrew Gross.

F45 Training is part of a growing fitness chain that actor Mark Wahlberg recently told Bloomberg offers his “go-to workout” when he’s not involved in specific training for his next acting gig.

Earlier this year, Wahlberg and Key West, Florida-based FOD Capital invested $450 million to help F45 Training accelerate its expansion strategy, according to a report by Bloomberg.

Gross said “as the heart of lower Westchester County, Scarsdale is perfect for an F45 because it has some of the most fitness-minded people in the state that embrace health and wellness, but also lead very busy lives.”

He said classes are led by two certified personal trainers and all of the exercises performed are programmed into a highly efficient 45 minute session. “That means members come in for a fun and challenging workout – where they will burn between 600 and 900 calories – then go about the rest of their day,” Gross said. “The studio will have men’s and women’s locker rooms, including showers, allowing members to quickly dress after their weekday morning workout sessions and head off to the office feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.”

F45 Scarsdale is located within a 10-minute drive of four different MTA Metro North train stations.

F45 Training combines elements of high-intensity interval training (HIIT), circuit training, and functional training. The variation of the workout programming keeps members challenged, eager to grow and ready to have fun.

“It’s very welcoming to all fitness levels and we are confident that once someone comes in for our complimentary seven day trial, they’ll keep coming back for more,” Gross said.

Founded in 2011, F45 Training has more than 2,000 studios in 45 countries and it recently ranked No. 19 on Entrepreneur’s 2019 Fastest-Growing Franchises list.

“Together with my investors, we are excited to be working with F45 Training,” Wahlberg said. “The founders of F45 Training have done an incredible job building a global brand, and with this partnership, we hope to continue disrupting the fitness industry. The strength of F45 is that people of all fitness levels will find motivation and support in an F45 studio. We look forward to inspiring people all over the world to pursue their health and fitness goals by introducing them to F45.”

“This is a monumental transaction for F45 Training,” F45 CEO Rob Deutsch said. “When we started the company, we knew we had something special and had bold plans to create a global fitness movement. The immense interest we were able to generate through this process proved the strength of the F45 platform, and we are excited to embark on this partnership with Mark Wahlberg and his team of investors. Mr. Wahlberg’s genuine passion for fitness, proven business acumen and shared vision for F45 Training made this an ideal fit for the company, and we are proud to welcome him into the F45 family.”

Wahlberg, 48, is best known as an actor, producer, music artist and as co-owner of the Wahlburgers restaurant chain. He also has other fitness-related investments, including StockX, a startup focused on sneaker resales, Performance Inspired Nutrition, a natural workout supplement maker, and Aquahydrate, a water brand.

A limited number of Foundation Memberships are available at a discounted rate for the new gym in Scarsdale, according to Gross. Reservations for these memberships can be made at: f45training.com/scarsdale. The studio’s Facebook and Instagram pages (@f45_training_scarsdale) also contain information and studio updates.

According to Gross, hours of operation will be finalized closer to the grand opening date, but early morning, mid-morning and evening classes will be offered. Once the class schedule is set, it will be posted at f45training.com/scarsdale. Registration for a complimentary seven day trial can also be done online.
