WHITE PLAINS – A Mount Vernon man was sentence on Tuesday in Westchester County Court to four years in state prison and 10 years of post-release supervision for the rape of a young teenager in Mount Vernon.
In April, Jorge Moran-Gaspar, 27, pled guilty to rape. He must also register as a sex offender.
In May 2018, the child victim reported she was involved in an inappropriate sexual relationship with Moran-Gaspar that began when she was 14. He had also been physically abusive toward her prompting the girl to seek assistance from police.
During the investigation, Moran-Gaspar admitted to having sex with the child when she was 14.
