NEW ROCHELLE – A 63-year-old Larchmont man told New Rochelle Police that he “blacked out” prior to crashing his 2018 Mercedes-Benz through the front entrance of Trump Plaza and coming to rest in the lobby.

Police said he showed no signs of impairment and it appears he suffered from a medical condition that contributed to the accident.

A 41-year-old man, who was the concierge at Trump Plaza, sustained minor injuries.

Both the driver and the employee were taken to an area hospital.

Police said the drive had been traveling northbound on LeCount Place approaching Huguenot Street when he failed to make the left turn onto Huguenot, continued straight and struck the Trump Plaza.

There is no suspicion the building was targeted.
