Shots fired during Port Jervis robbery

PORT JERVIS – No one was injured when shots rang out during an early morning robbery in the City of Port Jervis on Sunday.

Police Chief William Worden said at around 4:33 a.m., police were called to the intersection of Seward Avenue and Ball Street for a report of gunfire. An investigation revealed a Port Jervis man was forcibly robbed at gunpoint inside a nearby residence and that several shots were fired at the victim, who was not struck.

The investigation is being conducted by Port Jervis Police with assistance from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and State Police.
