Victim of I-84 crash was Newburgh resident

MONTGOMERY – State Police have released the identity of the man killed in a crash on Interstate 84 in the Town of Montgomery Tuesday evening.

Thomas Hallahan, 32, of Newburgh was driving a pickup truck in the westbound passing lane behind a tractor-trailer when he moved over to the right lane to pass that vehicle and another and when he attempted to return to the passing lane, struck a tractor-trailer in the right lane, losing control, causing his truck to roll over several times. He was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m.
