KINGSTON – Congressman Antonio Delgado (D, NY-19) sat down with leaders in the affordable housing field to discuss housing needs in Kingston.
Among those participating in the roundtable were representatives from RUPCO, the Supportive Housing Network of New York, Catholic Charities, and CARES Homeless Management information systems.
The Wednesday session focused on learning more about the resources available to communities in poverty in Ulster County and the role of the federal low income housing tax credit in developing affordable housing in the area.
“Today’s conversation was an important opportunity to learn more about the work being done at the county and local level to create rental opportunities for low-income households and combat poverty in the area,” said Delgado.
