Smokestacks blamed for climate change.

KINGSTON – President Trump’s absence during discussion about climate change at Monday’s G-7 session does not sit well with Congressman Antonio Delgado (D, NY-19).

Delgado told a telephone news conference on Tuesday that climate change is among his own top priorities, but apparently not one of the administration.

Delgado: “Profoundly disturbing”

“To know that we are not leading and not just not leading, but that we are ultimately pulling ourselves out of the conversation all together, I found that profoundly disturbing,” Delgado said. “I will continue to call on the administration to take this threat serious, to heed the science, and to understand that if we don’t, we will continue to be disadvantaged considerably.”

Delgado said farmers are being hurt; Lyme disease is on the rise, we see the flooding. “It’s all around us now. We have to make sure that we address this issue with some urgency.”
