Car bursts into flames after Rt. 17 crash

TOWN OF WALLKILL – A two-car crash on eastbound Route 17 in the Town of Wallkill Tuesday morning resulted in one vehicle catching fire.

No one was injured in the incident, said State Police spokesman Trooper Steven Nevel.

Both vehicles struck the center median guard rail.

Several police officers responded to the scene to direct traffic, which was reduced to one lane.
