POUGHKEEPSIE – The Poughkeepsie City School District fired high school principal Phee Simpson during a special meeting this morning.   Simpson had been suspended, with pay, by the school board in January of last year.

Prior to the suspension, an investigation by the school board into Simpson revealed that 41 students graduated under “questionable circumstances” in 2017.  The investigation was conducted by the board’s attorney, Todd Adlinger.

The termination is effective August 6, 2019.
