BETHEL WOODS – Thousands of people walked the hallowed grounds of Bethel Woods on Saturday, the site of the 1969 Woodstock music festival as the celebration of its 50th anniversary continues through tonight.
John Fogerty is the featured performer this evening and is expected to generate as much enthusiasm as Santana and Ringo Starr did Friday and Saturday nights.
The anticipated highway traffic jams never materialized and State Police said everything appears to be going along smoothly on this weekend of nostalgia for those who made the pilgrimage 50 years after their first visit, and for those making new memories of the 1969 event that changed the face of pop culture.
