Next Honor Flight set for October, vets sought

WALDEN – Hudson Valley Honor Flight is planning its next flight to Washington, DC for Saturday, October 12 and it seeking veterans to make the one-day visit to the nation’s war memorials from New York Stewart International Airport.

All World War II, Korean War and Cold War veterans from Orange, Ulster, Dutchess, Westchester, Rockland, Sullivan, Putnam, as well as Pike County, Pennsylvania, Bergen County, New Jersey, and Fairfield, Connecticut may take part if they have not previously gone on an Honor Flight.

Vets who served in the time between WWII and the Korean War are also eligible. Vietnam veterans are also invited to apply for future flights; applications are on www.hvhonorflight.com .

Hudson Valley Honor Flight is a local non-profit based in Walden, which honors Hudson Valley area veterans for all their sacrifices by bringing them to Washington, DC to visit their respective war memorials at no cost to them.
