ALBANY – A Saugerties man was found guilty on Friday of sexual exploitation of a child, of distributing child pornography, and of possessing child pornography, following a three-day federal jury trial.

The evidence at trial in Albany showed Matthew Osuba, 34, videotaped himself sexually exploiting a child. The evidence also included that he sent three images of child pornography over the internet using a chat application on his mobile phone, and possessed three more images of prepubescent girls engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

When sentenced in December, Osuba faces from 15 to 70 years in federal prison followed by a term of supervised release of up to life and will be required to register as a sex offender.

The case was investigated by the FBI, State Police, Town of Colonie Police and Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
