TOWN OF NEWBURGH – Police are investigating an incident this afternoon in which a man operating a a bucket-lift device while trimming trees came in contact with high voltage lines.
Initial reports indicate the man was in cardiac arrest following the incident at the corner of Lattintown Road and Babes Lane in the Town of Newburgh.
Lt. James Nenni said the incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. while the man was using a pole-saw in the bucket-lift about 20 to 25 feet in the air.
Police did not release the man’s condition by Wednesday evening.
