NYACK – A man, who had been arguing with others in a parking lot at 21 Burd Street in Nyack Saturday afternoon fought with police when they tried to arrest him.

Police said Brandon Harris, 33, had been involved in an argument with several other people around 3 p.m. and when officers arrived, he became agitated again and began yelling, screaming and lunging at the other people there.

He was advised he was under arrest for disorderly conduct but refused to comply with Orangetown Police officers’ commands and fought with them as they attempted to place him into custody.

Harris was eventually subdued and charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
