EAST FISHKILL – The New York State Humane Association, based in Kingston, has offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person or persons responsible for the neglect and abandonment of a dog found tied to a tree in a wooded area off Interstate 84 in East Fishkill on July 24.

Anyone with information regarding the possible history of the dog or its owners is asked to call the State Police at East Fishkill at 845-677-7300.

The young pooch was found when a state transportation department crew was getting ready to mow grass on I-84 and heard the dog barking in the woods. They found the dog, which had signs of prior neglect, tied to a tree.
