MARLBOROUGH – A crash between a utility task vehicle and a Jeep Wrangler in the area of 13 Mt. Zion Road in the Town of Marlborough claimed the life of the UTV operator, town police said.
The accident occurred around 11:21 a.m. on Friday when Tanner Hashberger, 21, was eastbound on the UTV side-by-side and struck a westbound Jeep driven by a 26-year-old Marlborough woman.
Hashberger died at the scene. The woman was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by Marlborough and State Police. Assisting at the scene were Mobile Life Support Services and the Marlborough Fire Department.
