NORTH CASTLE – A Mamaroneck man was killed on Sunday when his car veered while driving on Interstate 684 in the Town of New Castle, struck a guard rail and rolled over on the median.
State Police said John Saunders, 74, was driving a Dodge in the center lane of the highway when the car veered right and then across the center lane and into the left lane before striking the railing and overturning.
Saunders was treated at the scene and later pronounced dead at Westchester Medical Center.
The investigation is continuing.
