WOODSTOCK – Nonprofit organization the Truthsayers led a protest on Saturday against phone companies placing wireless 5G antennas near homes and apartments, which they claim emit harmful radiation. The protest in Woodstock was one of many across the country.

There have been over 28,000 studies concluding that the EMF (electromagnetic frequency) from 5G is harmful,” said Steve Romine from the Truthsayers. “As far as I know, there are zero studies that prove 5G is biologically safe.”

According to Raji Nevin, who is also one of the Truthsayers, they have helped people mitigate who were afflicted with radiation sickness caused by the 5G antennas. She also said that phone companies make three times more than pharmaceutical companies.

Throughout the protest, they would chant phrases such as, “the industry has captured the FCC. Let Woodstock be 5G free” and “pass town ordinance, ban 5G.”

The Truthsayers hope to replace 5G with fiber optics as a safer alternative. The group maintained that 5G frequencies are absorbed into the skin, causing cancer as well as damage to human blood, especially if the antennas are placed near people’s homes.

Sally Kane, another protestor, had special intentions of her own supporting the protest. “We’re trying to help your [millennials] generation,” Kane said. “I’d like to leave the planet clearer, safer, and more tender than when you found it.”

As for Abbey Mitchell, who is a former social worker and a member of the Senior Action Council, she believes the phone industry is pushing the world into a giant microwave by utilizing satellites and the antennas for 5G use.

Some passersby joined the group by carrying signs along with the Truthsayers, educating them on what they believe are the harms of 5G in the process.
