GHENT – A Clifton Park man was arrested by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office late Thursday night on charges of criminal sexual act and sexual abuse.
The sheriff’s office began an investigation on June 4 into a reported sexual offense in the Town of Ghent in 2008 after the victim reported the abuse to a deputy. The victim was under the age of 11 at the time of the assault.
The sheriff’s office Special Victims Unit investigated and arrested Michael Bradford, 58, on the felony charges. He was sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
Assisting in the investigation and arrest were the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office and Columbia County District Attorney’s Office.
