Spring Valley woman charged with stabbing boyfriend and child

SPRING VALLEY – Police in Spring Valley have charged a local woman with stabbing her boyfriend several times during a domestic dispute. Maria Norales-Bernardez was also charged with stabbing a 12-year-old girl during the 3:30 a.m. incident.

Norales-Bernardez was charged with felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon as a misdemeanor.

She was remanded to the Rockland County Jail without bail.

The two victims were treated at Good Samaritan and Nyack hospitals.

Police did not say what weapon was used nor if it was recovered.
