MONTICELLO – Gregg Polle and Ryan Eller have resigned from the Board of Directors of Empire Resorts effective on Wednesday, July 17. Ryan Eller is the company’s president and CEO.

Empire Resorts owns and operates Resorts World Catskills and Monticello Raceway.

The two resignations were reported in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing dated July 17.

Polle, who was a director with Empire Resorts since December 2010, is managing director of Moelis and Company, stepped down for personal reasons. Ryan stepped down “in order to be in compliance with NASDAQ and maintain the continued majority independence of the board,” company spokeswoman Talya Regan said.

He will stay on as president and CEO of the company, Regan said.

The SEC filing also said that Edmund Marinucci, a director of the company, was appointed to the Audit Committee of the board to fill the vacancy created with Polle’s resignation.
