KIAMESHA LAKE – In the continuing effort to grow a customer base from a wide area, Resorts World Catskills now has direct bus service from New York City.
Shortline/Coach USA is making daily runs from the Port Authority Bus Terminal to the resort, said General Manager Nowel Scoon.
“We are starting to get a lot more traction. We have invested in our marketing and are getting the word out about our service and hopefully people are spreading the word about their good experiences,” Scoon said. “We are starting to see our count starting to creep up there a little bit, especially on the weekends, and even on the weekdays we are seeking some traction.”
The service began a month ago.
The bus leaves the Port Authority terminal at 10 a.m. daily, makes a stop at Woodbury Common and then goes on to the casino and adjacent waterpark. The return trip leaves the casino at 4 p.m.
